Common questions

Everything you wanted to ask about wedding content creation.

If you are not sure what a wedding content creator does, how much it costs, or whether you actually need one, you are in the right place. Here are honest answers to the questions I get asked most.

Understanding what a wedding content creator does

What is a wedding content creator?
A wedding content creator is someone who captures your wedding day on a smartphone, specifically to create content for social media and personal use. The footage is filmed vertically in 9:16 format and delivered to you within 24 hours as a private gallery of raw clips and photos, plus edited Reels ready to post. Read the full explainer
How is a wedding content creator different from a videographer?
A videographer uses professional cinema cameras and produces a traditionally edited wedding film, usually delivered four to twelve weeks after the day. A content creator uses a smartphone, films in vertical format for social media, and delivers everything within 24 to 48 hours. The outputs are completely different. Many couples have both. How is a wedding content creator different from a wedding photographer?
A photographer captures still images using professional camera equipment. A content creator captures moving footage on a smartphone, specifically in vertical format for Instagram and TikTok. The two services complement each other rather than compete. A content creator will never replace what a photographer delivers, and a photographer will not deliver what a content creator delivers.
Do I need to be on social media to hire a wedding content creator?
No. Plenty of couples who book me rarely post on Instagram. They hire me because they want their memories back quickly, in a format they can watch on their phone. The raw gallery alone, without any edited Reels, is worth it if you simply want to relive the day before the honeymoon.

What is included

What is in the raw gallery?
Your raw gallery is a private link containing every clip and photo I captured across the day. Depending on the length of coverage and how much is happening, you can expect several hundred files. Nothing is deleted before delivery. You receive everything, and you have full download rights.
How many edited Reels do I get?
It depends on your package. The Story includes two edited Reels and a 60-second highlight reel. The Everything includes four edited Reels and a 90-second highlight reel. The Complete matches The Everything for Reels, plus full professional photography coverage. You can also add extra Reels as an add-on from £45 each. View packages
What is a highlight reel?
A highlight reel is a short edited film, 60 to 90 seconds long, cutting together the best moments of your day set to music. It tells the story of the day in a single shareable clip.
Can I keep the content private?
Yes. Your gallery link is private and password-protected. You choose what you share and with whom. I may ask your permission to share clips on my own social media, but you are under no obligation to say yes.
How long is the gallery available to download?
Your private gallery link is available for 90 days. Download everything to your device or a backup drive within that window to make sure you have a permanent copy.

The day itself

Will you get in the way of my photographer?
No. I spent years as a second photographer on wedding days, which means I know exactly how to work around a photographer without disrupting them. I know where to stand and where to move. I have never appeared in a professional wedding photo. Your photographer will not notice me. Find out more about how I work
Will my guests know you are there?
Most guests will not notice me. I work quietly around the day without directing anyone or drawing attention to myself. I am not there to perform for guests. I am there to watch and film.
What time do you arrive?
For full-day packages, I arrive approximately three hours before the ceremony to cover bridal prep. For shorter packages, we agree a start time during your content planning call.
What happens if it rains?
Rain is part of a British wedding and it does not change what I do. Some of the best content comes from genuinely unpredictable moments. A wet confetti exit, guests running for cover, couples laughing in the rain. I keep filming regardless of the weather.
Do you use a gimbal?
Yes. I shoot on iPhone with a gimbal for smooth, stable footage throughout the day. The result is polished and watchable rather than shaky and hand-held.

Booking and cost

How much does a wedding content creator cost?
Wedding Day Moments packages start at £399 for a raw-only package and go up to £1,695 for the full content and photography bundle. Most couples choose The Everything at £795 for full-day coverage. These are introductory 2026 prices. Prices will increase for 2027 bookings. See full pricing
How do I book?
Fill in the contact form on the Check availability page with your name, wedding date, and venue. I will come back to you within 24 hours to confirm availability. A 20% non-refundable deposit secures your date.
Is the deposit refundable?
The deposit is non-refundable. It removes your date from the market and holds it exclusively for you. In the very unlikely event of an unforeseen circumstance on my side, I will always do everything I can to find a suitable replacement or alternative date.
When is the balance due?
The remaining balance is due four weeks before your wedding date.
Can I upgrade my package after booking?
Yes. You can upgrade or add extras at any time before the wedding, subject to availability. Some add-ons, such as the editing upgrade, can also be added after the day once you have seen the raw footage.
Do you travel outside of Worcestershire?
Yes. I cover Worcestershire, West Midlands, Warwickshire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, and Staffordshire as standard. I also travel further for the right wedding. For anything more than 30 miles from Worcestershire, a travel cost may apply.
